Job summary

David E. Looper & Company is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead commercial projects from award through closeout.

You will develop schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts; coordinate with Preconstruction, Superintendents, and subcontractors; and manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation with a focus on safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to drive projects on time and within budget across active job

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects preferred.
  • Experience managing student housing, multifamily, or large-scale wood-frame construction projects is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of construction projects from contract award through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
  • Coordinate with Preconstruction, Superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Lead subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and scope alignment.
  • Monitor project costs and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and company policies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.
  • Support project logistics, material coordination, and project closeout activities including punch list completion and final documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
