Job summary

Oates Associates in Missouri is seeking a project manager focused on building structural engineering to lead new building and renovation projects, including expansions, repairs, and stand-alone buildings from $10k to $20M.

The selected candidate will mentor junior staff, review their work for quality and accuracy, and support ongoing technical growth while collaborating with clients to deliver safe, functional structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering; master's preferred.
• PE license; SE license a plus.
• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or masonry design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of RAM, RISA, Revit.
• Knowledge of building codes IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior staff, review their work for quality and accuracy, and support ongoing technical growth.
• Lead building structural projects, including expansions, repairs, renovations, and new buildings.
• Collaborate with clients on scope, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
