Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial MEP construction projects, mentor future leaders, and uphold safety standards.

You will manage client relations, track budgets and revenue projections, coordinate change orders, and lead meetings with internal teams and subcontractors while guiding Project Engineers to higher performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing projects.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors and vendors.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Position Summary

If you love managing construction projects, mentoring others and are passionate about safety, Southland has an opportunity for you as a Project Manager! In this role, you will work on exciting, commercial MEP projects, while developing future project managers and leaders.

Position Details

• Develops client relations by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Managed budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule
• Develops budget analysis reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders and other report as necessary.
• Delegates work and serves as mentor to Project Engineers. Provides coaching and performance feedback as necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage small teams
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Strong financial acumen
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience managing subcontractors
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.
• Minimum 5 years' experience
• Active Top Secret security clearance required.
