As a Project & Solution Engineer, you’ll own the technical success of customer deployments from start to finish. You’ll work closely with sales, project managers, customers, and technicians to ensure our solutions are expertly designed, properly implemented, and fully functional — with customer satisfaction as your north star.

You’ll use your technical acumen to advise customers, troubleshoot complex environments, and oversee configuration and post-deployment optimization. This role is perfect for someone who’s equal parts engineer, problem solver, and customer champion.

As a Project & Solution Engineer, you’ll own the technical success of customer deployments from start to finish. You’ll work closely with sales, project managers, customers, and technicians to ensure our solutions are expertly designed, properly implemented, and fully functional — with customer satisfaction as your north star.

You’ll use your technical acumen to advise customers, troubleshoot complex environments, and oversee configuration and post-deployment optimization. This role is perfect for someone who’s equal parts engineer, problem solver, and customer champion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical lead for project deployments: planning, configuration, installation support, troubleshooting, and success verification.
  • Collaborate with sales to design system architectures, conduct site walks, and lead pre-sales technical assessments.
  • Own the Verkada Command software configuration and onboarding process for new customers.
  • Lead technical enablement sessions and walkthroughs with customers (IT, facilities, security).
  • Work cross-functionally with project managers, technicians, and vendors to ensure smooth installs.
  • Deliver product training and post-deployment support, ensuring full customer adoption.
  • Use tools like System Surveyor to design, document, and update system maps.
  • Track KPIs including customer satisfaction ratings, deployment timelines, and support resolution metrics.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, TLS, DNS, DHCP, L2 switching.
  • Hands-on experience deploying or managing IT systems, physical security tech, or smart building infrastructure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to present clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, project follow-through, and a customer-first mindset.
  • Experience with APIs, Linux systems, and scripting (e.g., Python) is a plus.
  • Industry certifications such as Network+, Security+, CCNA, or AWS Solutions Architect are preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (this position does not provide sponsorship).
  • Ability to travel regionally to support deployments (25-50% of the time).
