Job summary

Kleinfelder's Geotechnical team seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager based in the Dallas Central Division. The role leads client-facing projects, coordinates field exploration, and mentors junior staff while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years of geotechnical experience, a Professional Engineer license (multi-state licensure preferred), and strong communication skills for multi-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 9 years of related geotechnical experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license and ability to be licensed in multiple states.
  • Ability to work safely while managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with a Keen sense of detail.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate with internal or external clients to understand their needs.

  • Safely supervise field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support.

Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager. The position will be based in Kleinfelder's Central Division Dallas location.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Coordinate and communicate with internal or external clients to understand their needs
  • Manage a portfolio of projects meeting client and company requirements for safety, budget, quality and schedule
  • Safely supervise field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support.

Strong analytical skills are required in areas including:
  • soil and rock classification,
  • slope stability analysis,
  • earth retention systems,
  • shallow and deep foundation design,
  • construction support
  • soil improvement techniques
  • materials testing knowledge
Education & Experience:
  • Minimum 9 years of related experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) License and ability to be licensed in multiple states
  • Must have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Position will require the candidate to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized and have a keen sense of detail.

Candidate must be willing to work in addition to a standard 40-hour work week when needed.
