Job summary

Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a Project Manager – Real Estate to plan, coordinate, and execute real estate and property management projects across the archdiocese.

You will report to the Director of Facilities and Construction and oversee day-to-day workflows, transactional execution, and lifecycle tasks while collaborating with parishes, schools, and vendors. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day real estate projects, including property acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and capital improvement projects from inception through completion.
• Manage end-to-end lease operations for new and existing properties, including inquiries, site visits, negotiations, extensions, and agreement drafting with legal counsel.
• Partner with Finance and parish leadership to track project budgets, rent escalations, and delinquent accounts.
• Maintain central database records, property files, and signature tracking logs for compliance.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure on-time delivery.

Job Summary

Summary The Project Manager – Real Estate plans, coordinates, and executes real estate and property management projects across the Archdiocese. Reporting to the Director of Facilities and Construction, this role oversees day-to-day project workflows, transactional execution, and property lifecycle tasks while maintaining regular communication and direct interaction with both internal stakeholders (parishes, schools, leadership) and external partners (vendors, contractors, buyers, brokers).

Job Responsibilities

• Project Management & Execution: Lead and coordinate day-to-day real estate projects, including property acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and capital improvement projects from inception through completion.


• Lease Administration & Lifecycle Management: Manage end-to-end lease operations for new and existing properties, including inquiries, site visits, negotiations, extensions, and agreement drafting in coordination with legal counsel.


• Financial Tracking & Revenue Assurance: Partner with Finance, Shared Accounting, and parish leadership to track project budgets, verify rent receipts, calculate annual rent escalations, and manage delinquent accounts or payment plans.


• Compliance, Insurance & Record Operations: Maintain central database records, hard-copy property files, and signature tracking logs; verify required tenant liability insurance certificates to ensure ongoing compliance.


• Stakeholder & Customer Communication: Maintain active, routine communication and build strong relationships with internal customers (parish leaders, school administrators, archdiocesan staff) and external customers (contractors, real estate brokers, legal counsel, municipal authorities).


• Property & Boundary Due Diligence: Coordinate site inspections, title searches, environmental assessments, and zoning research for archdiocesan properties.


• Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Source, schedule, and manage third-party vendors, project contractors, and consultants to ensure real estate work is delivered on schedule and within scope.


• Documentation & Records Management: Maintain accurate property records, real estate files, deeds, and project documentation within the archdiocesan database.


• Transaction & Contract Support: Oversee the drafting, review, and monitoring of purchase/sale contracts and service agreements in coordination with legal counsel and leadership.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.


• Experience: 3–5 years of hands‑on project management experience in commercial, residential, or non‑profit real estate.


• Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a strong customer‑service mindset for frequent interaction with internal and external parties.


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience using real estate or project management software systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Real Estate License.


• Knowledge of or familiarity with faith‑based, non‑profit, or institutional property management environments.
