Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - West Madison, WI is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial plumbing projects from estimating through closeout. You will build relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and suppliers while owning projects and growing your technical and leadership skills.

The role is full-time, in-office in the Madison area with occasional travel to client sites and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and job costing knowledge.
• Ability to build trust with customers, coworkers, and field personnel.
• Excellent organization and time management; strong communication and problem solving.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Commercial plumbing/MEP project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and proposals for commercial plumbing projects.
• Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and schedule of values.
• Monitor labor, materials, job costs, and profitability.
• Coordinate activities with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage change orders and project documentation.
• Build relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and vendors.
• Participate in customer meetings, planning, and business development.
• Identify new project opportunities to support growth.

Education

Job description

We are currently conducting a direct hire search for a Project Manager to join the plumbing division of local trades client.

If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and seeing commercial construction projects through from bid to completion, we'd love to talk.

In this role, you'll manage commercial plumbing projects from estimating through closeout, working closely with customers, general contractors, field leaders, and our experienced project management team. You'll have the opportunity to own your projects while continuing to grow your technical and leadership skills.

As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful execution of commercial plumbing projects, including:

• Prepare estimates and proposals for commercial plumbing projects.
• Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop project budgets, schedules, and schedule of values.
• Monitor labor, material, job costs, and overall project profitability.
• Coordinate project activities with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage change orders and project documentation.
• Build strong working relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and vendors.
• Participate in customer meetings, project planning, and business development efforts.
• Help identify new project opportunities and support continued growth of the division.

Qualifications:

• Project management experience within commercial construction.
• Commercial plumbing or mechanical contracting experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and job costing.
• Ability to build trust with customers, coworkers, and field personnel.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Experienced foremen, superintendents, or mechanical construction project managers looking to transition into commercial plumbing project management are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

Full - time in office role located in the Madison area with some travel to client sites and meetings. Generally 7am - 4pm Mon - Fri

Pay

Up to $120,000 depending on experience.
