Plains is seeking a Project Manager in our Midland, Texas office to lead project scoping, design, cost estimates, schedules, risk registers, and execution plans for viable energy projects. You will work with business units and operations to reflect regulatory expectations, manage multiple assignments, and coordinate with contractors while upholding Plains' safety and asset value.

This role requires at least five years in pipeline and oil/gas processing, a Texas PE or eligibility, and proficiency

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree in an applicable discipline; professional engineering designation and eligible for registration in Texas.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pipeline and oil or gas processing, including design, construction, and project management.
• Familiarity with labor, safety, and environmental regulations; working knowledge of U.S. codes and standards for pipelines and hydrocarbon-processing facilities.
• Knowledge of AACE and PMI best practices in estimating and project management.
• Knowledge of cost estimating systems, benchmarking tools, and risk modeling practices.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, conflict resolution, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and project scheduling tools.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize workload, and coordinate diverse stakeholders and contractors.

Aufgaben

• Establish project scope and scope alternatives with Business Development and Execution.
• Develop preliminary designs, cost estimates, schedules, risk registers, and execution plans.
• Provide technical consultation to project teams and Operations.
• Support business functions and strategies to optimize Plains' asset value.
• Maintain project benchmarking database and assess cost and schedule trends.
• Perform contingency modeling on Class estimates.
• Maintain project portfolio prioritization model aligned with Plains' strategic priorities.
• Ensure designs and assets comply with regulatory requirements.
• Scrutinize scope and design change requests and obtain approvals for deviations.
• Develop and maintain Plains' cost estimating practices and benchmarks.
