Role Overview

We are seeking functionally strong Project Managers to lead Next Best Engagement (NBE) and Next Best Action (NBA) initiatives within life sciences commercial organizations.

This role requires strong business understanding and the ability to collaborate with IT, architecture teams, and external vendors. The Project Manager will drive complex initiatives that turn digital marketing and commercial data into actionable insights for field representatives, helping them engage healthcare professionals (HCPs), support HCP needs, and improve commercial effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
Business and Functional Leadership
  • Partner with commercial, marketing, field sales, analytics, and technology stakeholders to define business objectives, scope, requirements, and success measures.
  • Understand HCP engagement journeys and how digital interactions inform field-representative actions.
  • Translate business needs into clear use cases, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and project plans.
  • Manage NBE/NBA use cases involving HCP insights, engagement prioritization, recommended actions, and field feedback.
  • Ensure solutions fit field workflows and provide relevant, actionable insights.
Technology and Architecture Coordination
  • Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams.
  • Facilitate discussions on data flows, system integrations, dependencies, and solution design.
  • Coordinate architecture reviews and approvals, including required documentation, stakeholder sign-offs, and resolution of outstanding decisions.
  • Work with IT, security, privacy, and compliance teams to incorporate applicable requirements into delivery plans.
  • Track technical dependencies and communicate their impact on business outcomes and timelines.
Digital Marketing Data and Vendor Collaboration
  • Coordinate data and delivery activities with partners such as Publicis, IW, GTO, and Ipsos.
  • Understand the business meaning and intended use of digital marketing, HCP engagement, market research, and commercial data.
  • Partner with data teams to clarify source definitions, data quality expectations, delivery schedules, and integration requirements.
  • Manage vendor commitments, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution.
  • Support alignment of vendor-provided insights with NBE/NBA recommendations and field engagement needs.
Project Planning and Execution
  • Own integrated project plans covering discovery, requirements, architecture approval, development, testing, deployment, and adoption.
  • Maintain schedules, milestones, dependencies, resource plans, and critical paths using Smartsheet and Microsoft Project.
  • Manage scope, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, business readiness, training, rollout, and post-launch support.
  • Drive accountability across business teams, IT teams, and vendors to deliver agreed outcomes.
Governance and Reporting
  • Lead weekly project meetings and provide clear, concise weekly status reports.
  • Report milestone progress, schedule and budget status, key risks, decisions required, and upcoming activities.
  • Maintain action logs, decision logs, and escalation tracking.
  • Prepare steering committee updates and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated project management experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical commercial operations, or commercial technology.
  • Strong functional understanding of digital marketing, HCP engagement, field sales processes, and commercial analytics.
  • Experience delivering NBE/NBA, omnichannel engagement, CRM, or related data-driven commercial initiatives.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into coordinated execution across technical teams.
  • Working understanding of data integrations, technology delivery lifecycles, and architecture review and approval processes.
  • Experience managing external vendors and complex projects with multiple workstreams.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work across regions, time zones, and business functions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with data or services from Publicis, IW, GTO, and Ipsos.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical CRM platforms and field insight delivery.
  • Exposure to analytics or AI-driven recommendation solutions, including business validation and adoption.
  • Experience measuring field adoption, recommendation usefulness, and HCP engagement outcomes.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
Success Measures
  • Projects delivered against agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Timely architecture approvals and resolution of cross-team dependencies.
  • Reliable vendor delivery and effective integration of commercial data.
  • Strong business and field adoption of NBE/NBA capabilities.
  • Clear reporting, timely escalation, and measurable progress toward agreed business outcomes.
