Project Manager - National Control Center

*3 Years project management experience - Maintenance and Fleet

*Telecom construction PM or CM experience preferred

*This is a fully remote position

Responsibilities

The Project Manager assumes a leadership role and provides guidance to project staff in the development and analysis of complex schedules on large and design-build projects. Experienced and fully competent in the profession, this individual works independently, and acts as a resource for colleagues.

In addition, you will:

• Triage tickets and dispatch technicians.
• Assist during national disaster recovery.
• Process optimization and efficiency improvements based on data-driven decision making.
• Lead and promote the MasTec safety culture on site, ensure site safety standards are met or exceeded, and develop Site Safety Specific Procedures.
• Proficient in Smartsheet preferred.
• Create and maintain project schedules (plans) and update all stakeholders weekly.
• Work cooperatively with leadership on business partner selection, procurement, and negotiations.
• Own and communicate the change management process.
• Manage and lead internal and external project teams to ensure on-budget and on-schedule delivery.
• Report and communicate to the external customer(s) and internal management daily.
• Build processes and teams required to deliver all project requirements.
• Work with Construction Managers and direct them on the overall tasks needed to be completed.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications

About You:

• 3+ years of Project Management experience
• Strong Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables, REQUIRED
• Ticket triage and vendor dispatch or fleet experience
• Track record of completing work with high quality
• Enjoys solving hard problems with a hands-on approach
• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of construction project experience
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Intermediate schedule management experience
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to read blueprints accurately
• Effective in communicating progress, issues, and recommendations to leadership
• Ability to work remotely in a quiet, dedicated space with reliable internet
• Self-driven
• Willing to work some nights and weekends as needed
