Project Manager - Marine Infrastructure

Location: Chicago, IL / Environment Solutions / Full Time Exempt / Hybrid

Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Project Manager - Marine Infrastructure. The position will be located out of a local Midwest Foth office location.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership on complex, multi-disciplined waterfront and coastal engineering related projects including preparation of design calculations, drawings, and other technical work products as required.
  • Maintain relationships with approval authorities.
  • Act as the contact for regulators, clients, and legal affairs.
  • Lead efforts to solve complex technical, financial, scheduling, and regulatory issues, including multi-party negotiation to achieve solutions.
  • Lead project team throughout the marine infrastructure project life cycle including development of scope of services, cost estimate for services, project plan through design and permitting, bid, construction, and project closeout phases for a wide range of coastal projects.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and collaborate with the client team leader to pursue those opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural/Coastal/Marine or Ocean Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in a consulting role on marine infrastructure projects.
  • Professional Engineer License and/or applicable professional registration or certification.
  • Experience with developing construction documents including plans and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with proposal development process and cost estimating of marine infrastructure projects involving $1.0M+ in capital spending by the client.
  • Previous experience with design, bid, build projects.
  • Previous experience with project-related community issues.
  • Technical experience with port/harbor/coastal-related capital projects for public clients.
  • Experience representing clients with regulators and negotiating/expediting issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of state and federal grants and loan programs for marine infrastructure projects.
  • Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural/Coastal/Marine or Ocean engineering with an emphasis in geotechnical or coastal engineering.

The base compensation listed for this job posting reflects a general range for the posted position, varying based on factors such as years of experience, location, level of responsibility, and licenses/certifications. In addition to base compensation, Foth members may be eligible to receive bonuses through our Earned Performance Incentive program. All employees are eligible for On-the-Spot bonuses. Exempt members are also eligible for either quarterly and/or annual bonuses. Eligible full-time and part-time members will be offered medical, dental, vision insurance, employee assistance program, disability, retirement, holiday pay, and several other voluntary benefits. Regular full-time members are also eligible for paid time off.

Base Compensation Range: $90,000-160,000.
