Job summary

Alexander Associates in Virginia is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use development projects.

The role involves managing land and site development from planning through construction, coordinating with municipalities and clients, and leading engineers and designers. A Civil Engineering degree and Virginia PE (or eligibility) are required, with experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

Alexander Associates are working with a well established civil engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Land Development Project Manager within Virginia.

This position will involve managing a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use development projects.

Salary: $115,000-$165,000, depending on experience.

Job Specifications:

• Manage land and site development projects from planning through construction
• Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules and technical deliverables

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Virginia Professional Engineer license, or the ability to obtain one
• Previous land or site development engineering experience
• Experience managing projects and technical teams
• Knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management and utility design
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong communication and client management skills
• Knowledge of Virginia development regulations and approval processes would be beneficial
