Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Lead Land Development Engineer in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on leadership of project teams, delivering civil land development designs, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary groups to meet client needs and regulatory requirements.

The candidate will supervise technical work, prepare design calculations, and ensure quality reviews while fostering growth, maintaining client relationships, and pursuing new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of eight years of experience in civil land development.
  • At least three years of experience as a lead designer on projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Land Desktop or similar design software, with demonstrated capability to conduct quality reviews.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio or the ability to obtain registration shortly after starting; additional state registrations are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the project team, driving creativity and innovation to meet client needs and address design and construction challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including transportation, environmental, and stormwater teams, to ensure comprehensive project solutions.
  • Coordinate the planning and organization of workflow, offering technical oversight for various project components.
  • Assist in preparing design calculations, details, and specifications, while also supporting plan reviews and modifications.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Foster a team-oriented and action-driven approach.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities with a keen eye for growth.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Effectively coach and mentor team members, fostering professional development and success.

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year
