Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple capital projects from planning through completion for a leading technology client in Milpitas, CA. The role requires coordinating with stakeholders, design consultants, and vendors while minimizing disruption to operations.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ years in project management, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience with R&D labs, cleanrooms, and MEP systems.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction, CM, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management.
• CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED certifications preferred.
• Must have R&D lab and cleanroom experience with strong knowledge of MEP systems.
• Experience supporting infrastructure, technology, or mission-critical facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the project schedule, scope, and cost.
• Value engineer the project by identifying opportunities for savings and ensuring material substitutions are equal.
• Coordinate with cost management for preparation of cost estimates, cost studies, actual job cost reviews, and budget reconciliation.
• Drive the permitting process by designing team documents for submission to agencies and ensuring permits move through efficiently.
• Develop and lead design management, procurement strategies, construction, fit-out, and closeout.
• Budget development and management.
• Oversee the entitlement process for unoccupied construction sites to ensure zoning is obtained.
