Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Interior Construction Project Manager to lead high-end tenant improvement and corporate interior buildouts in the Chicagoland area. You will oversee schedules, budgets, and cross-functional coordination to deliver projects on time and within budget, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in commercial interior construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and a bachelor’s degree in Construction

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial interior construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of interior trades and coordination with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
  • Experience with construction schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
  • Proficiency with project management software and MS Office tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage interior construction projects from design development through final turnover.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Lead subcontractor buyouts, contract scopes, and change management processes.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals for interior scopes.
  • Resolve field issues and proactively mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards, contractual requirements, and deadlines.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to leadership and clients.
