Job summary

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of total experience, with dedicated project management experience in the electrical or rotating equipment industries or capital projects
  • Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline preferred
  • PMP certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary customer liaison throughout order and project lifecycle for multiple concurrent projects
  • Lead handover with sales team, conduct kickoff meetings, and maintain comprehensive project plans
  • Establish clear milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria aligned with contractual requirements
  • Manage project scope, process change orders, and ensure proper approvals
  • Provide Technical Leadership to field personnel
  • Apply established project-management methodologies to ensure consistent quality delivery
  • Drives operational excellence
  • Coordinate with in-house manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams to meet delivery commitments
  • Manage third-party vendors, consultants, and contractors (occasionally)
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership, highlighting key risks and opportunities
  • Conduct site visits with customers and vendors as needed
  • Oversees safety and compliance requirements
  • Perform regular progress and financial reviews with increasing autonomy
  • Ensure timely revenue recognition and milestone payment processing
  • Safeguard the company's commercial and contractual interests
  • Manage logistics coordination and shipping requirements
  • Other duties may be assigned by management to meet business needs

Deliver Impactful Solutions as our Project Manager II - Customer Service Aftermarket Team

Join our team to lead transformative projects and complex custom orders that are shaping the future of energy, while implementing cutting-edge technology in medium and high-voltage motors and drive systems. As our Project Manager II, you'll independently manage multiple orders and projects from inception to successful delivery, applying your established project management expertise while continuing to develop advanced skills. In this role, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients on your assigned projects, building and maintaining strategic relationships while ensuring exceptional project outcomes that advance both customer satisfaction and our company's market position. Your leadership will directly influence critical infrastructure development, providing you with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the energy landscape. This mid-level position offers the perfect balance of autonomy and support—ideal for experienced project managers looking to expand their capabilities while working on significant projects that matter.

Primary Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution

Knowledge & Skills
Technical Expertise
  • Knowledge of electrical industrial systems, power electronics, and rotating machines integration
  • Prefer experience with PLCS, Variable Frequency Drives, and Industrial Control Systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including NEMA, IEC, IEEE, OSHA, and NFPA certifications
  • Experience managing construction and commissioning workflows, including site readiness, startup sequencing, and resource coordination.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and SAP experience preferred
  • Experience coordinating with third-party contractors, service partners, and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Proficiency with digital tools used for project tracking, reporting, and documentation
Leadership & Communication
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities across customers, partners, and internal teams
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills with ability to create professional documentation independently
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and customer negotiation skills in technical project environments.
Strategic Thinking
  • Ability to identify and mitigate project risks while recognizing opportunities
  • Experience implementing process improvements for project efficiency
  • Track record of delivering technical projects on time and within budget constraints
Experience/Education
  • 5-10 years of total experience, with dedicated project management experience in the electrical or rotating equipment industries or capital projects
