Job summary

Coherent Solutions in Mexico is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of engineering projects and serve as Scrum Master for cross-functional teams. You will drive Agile practices and coordinate stakeholders to ensure on-time, high-quality software releases.

The role requires strong English communication, 5+ years in software delivery leadership, and experience with distributed/offshore teams.

Project Description

The specialist will support the delivery of multiple engineering projects, ensuring high-quality software releases and alignment with strategic objectives. The role combines project management and Scrum Master responsibilities, including facilitating Agile practices, supporting Scrum events, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Own and drive the successful delivery of engineering projects, ensuring that timelines, scope, and quality standards are met;
• Establish delivery roadmaps in collaboration with technical leads and stakeholders;
• Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies to ensure the smooth delivery of software releases;
• Facilitate Scrum and Agile practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions;
• Gather requirements from stakeholders for cross-team implementation efforts;
• Coordinate the scheduling and approval of software releases with stakeholders;
• Assist in the creation and refinement of user stories across various initiatives;
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and documentation to ensure transparency and effective communication with all stakeholders;
• Coordinate development work across multiple team roles, including engineering, QA, analytics, and other cross-functional teams;
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and implementing best practices to enhance team performance and project outcomes;

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, managing software delivery and engineering projects;
• Demonstrated ability to proactively lead decision-making and drive change rather than merely follow established processes;
• Excellent command of English and strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information to diverse audiences;
• Experience managing software delivery across distributed and offshore teams;
• Solid understanding of Scrum practices, values, and principles, with hands-on experience applying them;
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams and individuals while fostering a collaborative and transparent environment;
• Proficiency with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously;
