Job description

Responsibilities
  • Provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction to ensure project standards, budget, deadlines and communications are maintained.
  • Safety: Manage safety compliance, perform site walkthroughs and inspections, and assure site safety compliance by ensuring all safety requirements are performed (including site specific safety plans, audits, toolbox talks, pre‑task planning and proficiency in Industry Safe Scope).
  • Document Control and Review: Review, process, organize, log and distribute contract documents and shop drawings/submittals to appropriate team members; draft, submit and track RFIs and their responses; attend field coordination meetings and distribute meeting notes.
  • Administer project‑quality control program and compile documentation; update progress and as‑built drawings; manage project closeout documentation (O&M manuals, spare parts, startup reports, owner training, punch lists).
  • Manage Scope of Work: Identify, price and negotiate change orders.
  • Schedule: Basic schedule management and field resources; provide duration/task information to the general contractor in development of the overall project schedule; review schedule, provide feedback; develop weekly/bi‑weekly work plans; modify and communicate plans; review labor requirements with manpower coordinator; attend weekly manpower/labor meetings.
  • Procurement Management & Coordination: Maintain equipment procurement logs; manage and track tool and equipment rentals; order equipment and coordinate shipping schedules with Purchasing Department.
  • Cost Estimation: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to estimate projects; prepare estimates using estimating software; attend pre‑bid, page turn, project turnover and preplanning meetings.
  • Financial Management: Track and report labor productivity in accounting software; oversee weekly PDCA; track, update and report job financial status and risks; manage communications between subcontractors, vendors and suppliers; assemble Schedule of Values and ensure billing is timely; track project collection issues; prepare for and attend monthly PM reviews.
  • Relationships and Sales: Develop and maintain relationships with key clients (owners and GCs); support sales process, establish industry relationships, attend customer outings and events, communicate company interest to potential customers, support division sales goals.
  • Other tasks and duties as directed.
