Overview

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction to ensure project standards, budget, deadlines and communications are maintained. Manage safety compliance and foster a culture of safety.

Responsibilities

• Review, organize and distribute contract documents (drawings, specifications, schedules, RFIs, construction bulletins, etc.) and shop drawings/submittals to appropriate team members, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Distribute and log all contract document activities.
• Assist in drafting, submitting and tracking RFIs and their responses.
• Attend field coordination meetings and distribute meeting notes.
• Assist in administering project-specific quality control programs and compile documentation.
• Administer and update progress and as-built drawings.
• Prepare project closeout documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, startup reports, owner training, and punch lists.
• Support identification, tracking, and reporting of changes to the original scope of work.
• Maintain equipment procurement logs and assist in tracking tool and equipment rentals.
• Perform site walkthroughs and safety inspections; assist in site safety compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors to estimate projects and perform basic estimating using estimating software.
• Track labor productivity and job costing in accounting software alongside the project manager and field foreman.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or a related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of knowledge/experience in the building and construction industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles.
• Understanding of business administration and management principles.

Compensation

Pay Range: $62,549.35 – $93,824.03. The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
