Jobot is recruiting on behalf of a well-established general contractor for a Heavy Industrial Project Manager to lead complex industrial and commercial construction projects in the Midwest. You will oversee preconstruction through closeout, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and communicate with clients to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 5+ years of PM experience in heavy industrial settings, and

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or large-scale construction.
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement and client communication.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trades.

Job Details
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience within heavy industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or large-scale construction environments.
  • Proven experience managing projects from preconstruction through final closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, and client communication.
  • Strong background delivering industrial facilities such as manufacturing plants, processing facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, or other complex commercial projects.
  • Experience with project financial management, including cost forecasting, change orders, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain project schedules while coordinating field operations and subcontractor performance.
  • Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and industry safety standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • OSHA safety knowledge and a commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
