Job summary

Phase2 Technology seeks a Project Manager for Applied Research to oversee government-sponsored R&D projects at the Space and Geophysics Laboratory (SGL). You will guide programmatic and technical efforts across hardware, software, and algorithms, while supporting agile teams and system owners.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years PM experience in DoD or government-funded projects, strong budgeting skills, and familiarity with MS Office, MS Project, and JIRA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years project management experience with Government sponsored technical/research & development or system acquisitions.
• Proven ability to work with government sponsors and principal investigators to align goals and budgets.
• Certification: PMP, DAU PM, or DoD-related PM or system acquisition credential.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Government sponsors and Principal Investigators to ensure sponsor satisfaction of technical and business execution.
• Prepare and submit budgets and technical proposals for new Government-sponsored R&D.
• Manage project goals, schedule, and resources to ensure timely execution of R&D efforts.
• Provide supervision, assign tasks, hire, and identify staff training needs.
• Oversee project budget and resources, ensuring alignment with PI guidance and mission requirements.
• Perform other related functions as assigned.
