Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Project Manager for Applied Research Laboratories to support government-sponsored R&D covering hardware, software, and algorithms. You will guide agile teams and coordinate with sponsors, PIs, and Product Owners to ensure successful execution of complex programs.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields, 5+ years of PM experience on government projects, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, math, physics, or related field.
• Five+ years of PM experience with Government-sponsored R&D or system acquisitions.
• PM/DoD certification or equivalent.
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Government sponsors and PI(s) to ensure sponsor satisfaction with technical and business execution.
• Prepare and submit budget and technical proposals for new Government-sponsored R&D.
• Establish and maintain project goals and priorities with PI guidance.
• Provide staff supervision and facilitate interview/hiring processes.
• Manage project budget, schedule, and resources for timely execution.
• Perform other related functions as assigned.
