Job summary

Hennig is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate all aspects of large-scale industrial projects in the Generator Back-up Power business area. You will oversee engineering, procurement, services and potentially construction to ensure profitability, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction from sale through warranty.

Responsibilities include leading kickoff meetings, coordinating resources, managing risk, and ensuring proper documentation and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience with increasing responsibility.
• 5+ years in a factory/manufacturing environment with progressive responsibilities.
• Experience planning, organizing and executing large-scale projects with budgets and timelines.
• Familiarity with factory systems, tools and databases; Lean, JIT, Kanban, DFT.
• Experience in welding and assembly; multiple manufacturing processes.
• Experience across manufacturing functions (engineering, quality, operations, material flow).
• Proven ability to summarize risks, issues and mitigation plans; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own full project life cycle from kickoff to completion, including funding, staffing and resource allocation.
• Lead project meetings (engineering kickoff, customer kickoff) and coordination meetings.
• Maintain continuous communication with project team, customer and internal leadership.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for pricing, procurement and delivery of equipment and services.
• May oversee construction, installation, startup and checkout activities as required.
• Distribute customer orders to sub-units and ensure PO issuance per processes.
• Establish early project contacts, define schedules and formal guidelines to follow.
• Create and manage project documentation and ensure timely invoicing.
• Perform risk and opportunity management; manage the main project schedule and inter-unit coordination.
• Lead efforts to maximize financial results and ensure project execution model is followed.
• Ensure customer finished goods are prepared, organized and protocols followed.
