Job summary

Fike Corporation seeks a Project Manager - Explosion Protection to direct day-to-day construction project management, site verification, and installation coordination. You will lead from conception through commissioning, overseeing schedules, budgets, and contractor performance.

The role requires a Bachelors in a related field and 3+ years of project oversight, with travel ~20% domestically and internationally. CAD/Windows/Excel skills and NICET 3 are preferred advantages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management in electrical, mechanical or engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years or more of post degree experience in related field with demonstrated successful project oversight skills.
• Experience or education in the fields of fire protection, safety management, or related special hazard protection.
• Basic understanding of NFPA standards and related code restrictions.
• Ability to travel - ~20% domestically and internationally with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Manages governance of projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitors all project milestones, changes, and technical status reports.
• Manages strategic client and contractor relationships and establishes clear lines of communication.
• Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions.
• Analyses project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings.
• Monitors activities at construction sites; ensures construction progresses as scheduled and contract specs are adhered to.
• Inspects construction site regularly and coordinates deliveries with contractors.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project to ensure progress and budget compliance.
• Coordinates commissioning and certification tests with ES Install Technicians and customers.
