Job summary

RemX | The Workforce Experts is seeking a Project Engineer for our client, a leading provider of electrical systems, structured cabling, security systems, and building technology solutions, for projects in Houston.

You will supply technical information to the Project Manager, support compliance with plans, codes and specifications, and assist in field problem solving, startup planning, quality control, permitting, RFIs, and as‑built drawings.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years’ experience working for an electrical subcontractor.
• Understand Project Specification Sections Division 27 and 28.
• BISCI knowledge recommended.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications and building materials.
• Ability to perform trigonometric calculations, either manually or with calculator.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION:

A Project Engineer’s primary responsibility is to:

• Provide technical engineering information to a Project Manager to ensure project compliance with plans, codes, specifications and design instructions.
• Assist in evaluations and solutions of potential field problems, referring them to Project Management. Perform all essential functions and responsibilities in conjunction with the company’s values and beliefs in alignment with Fisk’s policies so that the construction process is completed to the client’s full satisfaction and at the Company’s expected levels of safety, quality, and profitability.
