Veit Management, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to lead bids and manage projects from award to completion. Responsibilities include scheduling, cost containment, progress monitoring, compliance, and active client contact.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in construction bidding or project management, plus proficiency with Viewpoint Vista and HCSS software, MS Office, and strong communication skills. Travel to jobsites is required.
The Project Manager/Estimator’s primary duty is to bid and secure construction projects. Once projects are awarded, the project manager/estimator manages the contract work from start to finish, including scheduling, cost containment, monitoring progress, compliance, and client contact.
The employee is required to stand and/or sit in a stationary position for extended periods of time (over 50%). The employee uses a computer/laptop/iPad in an office environment and occasionally attends off‑site meetings. High noise levels may be encountered; hearing protection is provided or required.
Most work occurs in an office setting, but job‑site travel is required. Employees frequently work alone and with others and may be exposed to machinery, odors, dust, pressurized equipment, electrical hazards, environmental conditions, loud noises, and weather such as rain, snow, wind, cold, and heat.
Base Compensation: $100,000 - $133,500 (may vary by location and experience).
