Job summary

Jobtailor in Rockford, IL seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring high quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

You will build and nurture client relationships, coordinate with subcontractors and the on-site Superintendent, manage budgets, and report progress and financial performance while identifying new restoration opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration and construction.
• Experience with Xactimate.
• Prior disaster mitigation estimating experience.
• Sales and project management experience within disaster restoration, ideally for commercial accounts.
• Ability to pay attention to details and communicate effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Oversee residential and commercial losses caused by fires, water, mold, and natural disasters.

• Develop relationships to build and grow accounts
• Manage contractors with support from an assigned Construction Superintendent
• Support and implement the Company’s Project Quality Planning and Control process
• Maintain liaison with clients and contacts to facilitate successful project execution
• Attend client-initiated meetings and maintain contact to ensure client satisfaction
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate policy
• Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of the on-site Superintendent
• Evaluate construction progress and team performance to ensure projects meet schedule and budget
• Manage and report on financial aspects of contracts
• Identify potential legal problems and litigation and review them with the Branch Manager
• Oversee project close-out
• Represent the company in project meetings
• Provide technical assistance and support to project team members
• Identify new work opportunities and inform Sales and Marketing of potential projects
• Lead internal teams focused on continuous business improvement
• Promote client, subcontractor, and vendor relationships
• Apply relevant company policies and processes
• Proactively identify and solve problems to minimize risk
