Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Manager I to lead complex projects with professionalism, flexibility, and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. You will oversee project quality, timeliness, and safety while mentoring the project team and developing strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six years of related previous experience.
• Ability to assist with responsibilities for complex projects.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects.
• Support and lead EPC contract negotiations, schedules.
• Lead vendor procurement and bid/award phase for major subs and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections.
• Allocate project estimates into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices.
• Provide financials and billings to accounting; monthly owner billings.
• Manage subcontracts and suppliers; oversee budgets.
• Handle billings, contract management, and change orders.
• Develop Assistant PMs and Project Engineers; approve timecards.
