Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Manager I to lead projects with professionalism, flexibility, and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction/engineering management.
• Minimum six years of related experience on complex projects.
• Ability to assist with responsibilities for complex projects.
• Detail oriented to manage multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Experience in commercial construction, renewables, EPC contracting, or emerging tech is a plus.
• MS Office, project and web apps at an intermediate level.
• Positive, professional attitude and strong customer service.
• Ability to interpret Mortenson policies and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects.
• Support and lead EPC contract negotiations, including technical exhibits and project schedules.
• Lead vendor procurement and bid/award phase for major subs and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections.
• Allocate project estimate into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices.
• Provide financials and billings to accounting, create monthly owner billings.
• Manage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and selections of trade partners.
• Handle billings, contract management, and change orders.
• Coach and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approve timecards, provide feedback.
