Job summary

Bright Minds in Albany, NY is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead electronic security and building systems projects in the Albany market. You’ll bring hands-on access control expertise and manage projects from kickoff to completion, coordinating customers and field teams.

You’ll oversee schedules, budgets, procurement, materials, subcontractors and documentation to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with access control and electronic security systems.
• Experience managing technical projects from kickoff to completion.
• Experience managing customer relationships and serving as main contact.
• Some experience with budgeting, cost control, and project finance.
• Willingness to work in the field and coordinate with field personnel.
• Experience managing schedules, materials, procurement, and documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in fast-paced technical environments.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from award through completion, managing schedules, budgets, procurement, materials, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate field teams and ensure proper project documentation.
• Work directly with customers and internal teams to meet technical requirements and schedules.
• Monitor project costs and financial performance; pursue cost control improvements.
• Willingness to receive additional training on project financial management.
