Job summary

Border States is seeking a Project Manager in Phoenix, AZ to lead strategic planning, coordination, and execution of complex customer projects. You will act as the primary decision-maker on scope, pricing within guidelines, and risk mitigation, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure profitability and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 3+ years in customer service, quotation or sales with electrical products knowledge.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement on complex projects and technical issues.
• Experience managing project financials, pricing strategies, and vendor negotiations.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and develop execution strategies.
• Strong knowledge of product lines, substitutes, and supplier pricing policies.
• Proficient PC Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Account Managers and others to develop project execution strategies.
• Lead planning, coordination, and delivery of customer projects with profitability focus.
• Provide pricing guidance and vendor negotiations within authority levels.
• Interpret bid requirements and define timelines to meet customer deadlines.
• Manage project schedules, vendor performance, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with Demand Generation and Customer Financial Services as needed.
• Ensure timely follow-up on inquiries and post-bid activities.
