Job summary

Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG) seeks a Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and manage all facets of assigned projects from initiation through final payment. You will ensure hardware schedules, shop drawings, and contract requirements are executed accurately, with focus on quality, cost control, delivery timelines, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a engineering background, strong PM and technical experience in doors/frames/hardware, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• PM and technical experience in construction, doors, frames, or hardware industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, specifications, and industry standards.
• Experience with business development concepts is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and oversight of hardware schedules, ensuring alignment with project specifications, timelines, and contractual requirements.
• Direct and review the preparation of shop drawings for wood doors and hollow metal systems to ensure accuracy and design intent.
• Oversee interpretation of architectural specifications related to doors, frames, and hardware, providing guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Provide strategic input on project budgets, billing, and cost control, making discretionary decisions to support financial performance.
• Train, mentor, and support Assistant Project Managers assigned to projects.
• Provide technical oversight into interpretation of architectural drawings and ensure correct identification of components.
• Review and approve submittals and manage change orders to align with scope and profitability.
• Monitor and ensure alignment of engineering and production activities with project scope and quality standards.
• Partner with Engineering and Operations to maintain schedules and revisions; support manufacturing issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors and respond to inquiries.
