Job summary

Basnight & Sons, a long-standing division of The Steel Network, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Division 8 and Division 10 commercial door projects from award through closeout.

You will coordinate drawings, submittals, procurement, material delivery, and project documentation, while tracking schedules, budgets, and milestones. Durham, NC on-site with limited local travel.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in Division 8 and/or Division 10 project management, estimating, detailing, or coordination.
• Strong knowledge of commercial doors, frames, hardware, and related workflows.
• Experience reading drawings, specs, schedules, and contract documents.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with ownership and responsiveness.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Basnight & Sons, a subsidiary of The Steel Network, Inc., is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Division 8 and Division 10 projects from award through closeout. For more than 100 years, our team has built a reputation for quality, responsiveness, and trusted industry relationships.

This opportunity is designed for professionals with experience in commercial doors, frames, hardware, specialties, estimating, detailing, procurement, or project coordination. You will work closely with customers, contractors, architects, manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver accurate, timely, and profitable project outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage Division 8 and Division 10 projects from award through final closeout.

• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract requirements.

• Coordinate detailing, submittals, procurement, material delivery, and project documentation.

• Track schedules, long-lead items, budgets, change orders, and project milestones.

• Identify risks early, resolve scope or schedule issues, and keep stakeholders informed.

• Build strong relationships with customers, manufacturers, suppliers, and internal partners.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Three or more years of experience in Division 8 and/or Division 10 project management, estimating, detailing, project coordination, or a related function.

• Strong knowledge of commercial doors, frames, hardware, specialty products, and industry workflows.

• Experience reading construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy, ownership, and responsiveness.

• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.

• Experience with Comsense, Pro-Tech, or similar software is preferred.
