Job summary

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Project Manager to support our office on Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Project Manager position is responsible for cradle-to-grave execution of construction projects and may supervise one or more project coordinators.

This role requires knowledge of design and construction, plus ability to obtain security clearance and military access. A degreed engineer, architect, or construction manager with experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Degreed engineer, architect, or construction manager with 5+ years in A/E/C industry preferred or degree with at least 10 years of experience in A/E/C
  • Be willing to submit to a background check
  • Knowledge of design and construction
  • Knowledge of the IBC, NFPA Life Safety Code and UFC
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain military installation access

Responsibilities

  • Reviews engineering plans and specifications for compliance with federal and state regulations and ensures that design formats comply with applicable guidance
  • Prepares required documentation to ensure project designs are suitable for solicitation through the base contracting office
  • Participates in the construction planning process by investigating proposed projects to obtain field data, check existing facilities and utilities, and to conceptualize the scope of the completed project
  • Furnishes sketches and layouts supplemented by verbal or written information for preparation of drawings
  • Prepares modification/alteration design specifications considering existing structures, utilities, facilities and other considerations of projects that are not readily apparent
  • Applies a practical knowledge of engineering methods, architecture, and historical project data to ensure project requirements are complete

What we’re looking for

  • Degreed engineer, architect, or construction manager with at least 5 years of experience in Architecture/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) industry preferred OR Degree from an accredited program and/or institution with at least 10 years of experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry
  • Be willing to submit to a background check
  • Knowledge of design and construction
  • Knowledge of the Internal Building Code, NFPA Life Safety Code and Unified Facilities Criteria
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Successfully obtaining the appropriate level of security clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain military installation access from government authorities

Salary Range

Salary Range: $92,299.57 - $113,941.14
