DeBra-Kuempel Inc. is a leading provider of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services across Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Evansville, Lexington, Louisville, Eastern Kentucky, and surrounding areas. We deliver services through the entire project lifecycle, including design-build, new construction, major repairs, replacements, and ongoing preventive services. DeBra-Kuempel is wholly owned by EMCOR Group, Inc., a national provider of mechanical, electrical construction, and facilities services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall project flow from inception to completion.
  • Review contract and bid documents, understand scope, and attend walk-throughs.
  • Ensure project documentation is completed efficiently, including insurance, permits, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve issues.
  • Plan and schedule construction activities to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit budgets, progress reports, and cost tracking documents.
  • Inspect projects for compliance with safety, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Select subcontractors and equipment suppliers in collaboration with engineering, estimating, and purchasing teams.
  • Distribute correct drawings to field teams.
  • Create schedules of value and billing formats as per contract requirements.
  • Develop project schedules, including delivery dates and manpower requirements, integrating into overall project plans.
  • Manage purchase orders for major equipment and subcontractors, considering shipping and delivery timelines.
  • Assist with material takeoffs and host project meetings to review progress and resolve setbacks.
  • Support accounting with billing, collections, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
  • Collaborate with foremen on safety initiatives, including toolbox talks and site walkthroughs.
  • Track scope changes, manage estimating for pricing, and finalize change order pricing to maximize profit.
  • Assist in project closeout, including obtaining as-builts and engineering models.
  • Escalate critical issues to management with recommendations for resolution.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in the mechanical industry.
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices and contract documentation.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations.
