Accel 7 Construction is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead commercial, industrial, and federal projects from bidding through close‑out in Chicago. You will oversee safety, budgets, and client relations, guiding cross‑functional teams to deliver on schedule and within scope.

• Minimum 7 years post‑graduate construction experience.
• Minimum 5 years managing commercial/industrial contracts as PM/CM/ superintendent.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Procore.
• Strong understanding of construction accounting, budgeting, and legal standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle management including estimating, budgeting, procurement, and contract negotiations.

You will drive total project execution from initial bidding to final close-out across dynamic commercial, industrial, and federal construction developments. How You Will Make An Impact

• Lead full lifecycle management including estimating, budgeting, subcontractor procurement, and contract negotiations.
• Coordinate project teams, architects, engineers, and site superintendents to maintain strict schedules and budgets.
• Perform regular on‑site quality and safety inspections to identify and resolve field challenges proactively.
• Level subcontractor proposals, draft comprehensive subcontracts, and manage ongoing change order requests.
• Oversee applications for payment to maintain smooth financial workflows and prompt project funding.
• Maintain clear, continuous communication with project owners and serve as the primary liaison for deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science.
• Minimum of 7 years of post‑graduate experience in the construction industry.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial or industrial construction contracts as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Construction Manager.
• Advanced proficiency with software tools including Microsoft Office, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Procore.
• Deep understanding of construction accounting concepts, project budgeting, legal standards, and MEP building systems.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Prior experience managing Federal Government construction contracts.
• Proven track record of managing multi‑million‑dollar project portfolios from estimation to close‑out.
