Job summary

NW Recruiting Partners is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee multiple self-storage and industrial construction projects across the United States from Bellevue, WA. The role focuses on ground-up development with strong contractor collaboration and a hands-on approach to budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.

You will work closely with development teams and external partners to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of construction management experience, with at least 3 years on ground-up commercial developments.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and project execution.
• Experience managing contractors, budgets, schedules, and project teams.
• Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, MS Project, or Primavera P6.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites several times per month.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities from preconstruction through project completion.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, contractors, and overall progress.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and other project partners.
• Review construction plans, proposals, and project documentation.
• Monitor quality standards, identify potential risks, and resolve project issues.
• Support contractor selection, bidding, and cost evaluation.
• Conduct site visits and attend construction meetings to monitor progress.
• Oversee project closeout and ensure proper documentation and turnover.
• Assist with renovation and capital improvement projects as needed.

The ideal candidate would have experience working with ground-up construction and with a general contractor. This role is very similar to a Project Manager with general contractor. This role will work closely with the development team and external partners to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing ground-up commercial construction and strong skills in project coordination, budgeting, and contractor management.
