Job summary

Trueline, a respected family-owned construction firm with over 50 years of experience in commercial and multi-housing projects, seeks a Project Manager for the Greater Portland, ME area. You will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and owners to ensure safety, schedule, and quality.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience in construction project management or a related role.
• Strong understanding of commercial or multi-family construction.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and change orders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and multi-family construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, contracts, and overall project documentation.
• Coordinate closely with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, owners, and internal teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, scopes of work, contracts, and performance.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, and profitability throughout the project.
• Identify potential schedule, cost, and constructability issues and work proactively to resolve them.
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Partner closely with field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the expected quality standards.
• Manage project closeout, punch lists, documentation, and turnover.
