Job summary

AlphaGov is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial interior construction projects from contract award through closeout. You will manage schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and client communications to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and high-quality results.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and other interior finishes, plus proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Management experience in commercial interior construction
• Hands-on experience with drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior finishes
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, clients, and multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial interior construction projects from contract award through completion and closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and execution strategies
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents to confirm scope and identify issues
• Coordinate with owners, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams
• Monitor project budgets, labor productivity, material procurement, subcontractor performance, and financial performance
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, billing, and project documentation
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance
• Identify project risks and develop solutions to minimize cost, schedule, and quality impacts
• Lead project meetings and provide updates to clients, stakeholders, and leadership
• Coordinate with estimating and operations teams for smooth transition from estimating to execution
• Oversee punch-list completion, final documentation, turnover, and project closeout
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, trade partners, vendors, and internal teams

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
