AlphaGov seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial interior construction from award through closeout. You will manage schedules, budgets, procurement, field coordination, and client relationships to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and high-quality results.

The role requires expertise in drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and flooring, plus strong leadership to drive teams and subcontractors across multiple projects in Pensacola, FL.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Management in commercial interior construction.
• Experience with drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, or related finishes.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specs, contracts, and schedules.
• Budgeting, forecasting, procurement, billing, and change orders experience.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial interior projects from award to closeout.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and forecasts.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope documents for issues.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial interior construction projects from contract award through final closeout.

The ideal candidate has a strong background managing commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and related interior finishes. This role will oversee scheduling, budgeting, procurement, field coordination, project financials, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial interior construction projects from contract award through completion and final closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, manpower forecasts, and execution strategies
• Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope documents to confirm requirements and identify potential issues
• Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, general contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, labor productivity, billing, cost control, and profitability
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, pay applications, and other project documentation
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and long-lead items to maintain project schedules
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, architects, general contractors, and internal teams
• Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to minimize delays, cost overruns, and quality issues
• Support field operations by ensuring crews have the materials, information, and resources needed for efficient execution
• Coordinate with estimating and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and execution
• Oversee punch-list completion, warranty items, project turnover, and final closeout
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders

Requirements

• 3+ years of Project Management experience in commercial interior construction
• Experience managing drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, commercial flooring, or related interior finish projects is required
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations
• Proven ability to manage projects from startup through final closeout
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, procurement, billing, labor management, change orders, and cost control
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, general contractors, and clients
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
