Modern Mechanical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to plan and supervise projects from start to finish, coordinating procurement, installation timelines, and client communications to ensure on-time, efficient delivery and an exceptional client experience.

The role requires a college degree or equivalent supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with construction practices, HVAC and plumbing, plus experience with estimating software; a CT driver's license is

Qualifications

• College Degree and/or minimum of five years field supervisory experience required
• Demonstrated supervisory skills
• Basic building construction knowledge; HVAC & plumbing experience preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication; good Microsoft Office knowledge
• Experience with estimating software (Bluebeam, Onscreen Takeoff, etc.)
• Valid CT Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Award all scopes of work on a timely basis, including taxes and insurance
• Draft subcontracts detailing terms, safety and insurance requirements
• Coordinate preparation of submittals
• Coordinate the preparation of PO’s
• Write change orders and maintain Change Order Log
• Attend kick-off meetings with Field Supervisor
• Procurement of materials and track lead times
• Attend job site meetings as required
• Coordinate with subcontractors
• Order installation hardware
• Provide installation instructions and hardware to Field Supervisor
• Maintain clear communication with customers, vendors, and subcontractors
• Analyze cost reports
