Job summary

Modern Mechanical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to plan and supervise projects from start to finish, coordinating purchasing, installation timelines, and ensuring client satisfaction.

The role requires a college degree or five years of supervisory experience, strong communication, and familiarity with HVAC & plumbing; you will coordinate with subcontractors and vendors on-site in Farmington, CT.

Qualifications

• College degree and/or minimum five years field supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills.
• Experience with commercial HVAC & plumbing preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Award all scopes of work on a timely basis, ensuring each scope is inclusive (taxes and insurance).
• Draft subcontracts detailing payment terms, safety policies, and insurance requirements.
• Coordinate preparation of submittals and purchase orders.
• Write and update Change Orders and maintain Change Order Log.
• Attend kickoff meetings with Field Supervisor to discuss jobs and products.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site meetings; procure materials and monitor lead times.
