Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager in Santa Ana, CA to plan, coordinate, and manage complex construction projects from initiation through closeout.

You will develop budgets, manage schedules, and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to safety and quality standards. Strong leadership and CM software skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction management or a related field is a plus
  • 3-10+ years of experience in construction project management
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations
  • Excellent project management skills with planning, organizing and prioritizing tasks
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents including blueprints and schematics
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage project teams and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling tools and cost estimation software

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and manage all phases of construction projects from initiation to closeout
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets and resource allocations for cost efficiency and timely delivery
  • Liaise with owners, architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to monitor progress and ensure compliance
  • Manage procurement processes, including bid evaluations, contract negotiations and vendor selection
  • Oversee budgeting and cost control and manage change orders to adhere to budgets
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify risks and ensure safety and quality standards
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members and stakeholders and provide regular project updates

Education

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team! As a construction project manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing construction projects for our firm.

Your responsibilities will include developing and managing project budgets, creating detailed schedules and overseeing resource allocation to ensure optimal execution. You will conduct regular site inspections, review construction plans and specifications, identify potential risks, implement proactive measures to mitigate them and verify that all the work is performed to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Planning, coordinating and managing all phases of construction projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout.
  • Establishing project objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Developing and managing project schedules, budgets and resource allocations to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.
  • Liaising with owners, architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to monitor construction progress, resolve issues and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Managing procurement processes, including bid evaluations, contract negotiations and vendor selection.
  • Oversee project budgeting and cost control and manage change orders to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns and foster strong working relationships.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in construction management, or a related field a plus OR direct professional Project Manager experience.
  • 3-10+ years of relevant experience in construction project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including effective planning, organizing and prioritizing tasks.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, including project blueprints and construction schematics.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage project teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling tools and cost estimation software.
