Job summary

S&B Services in Dallas seeks a results-driven Project Manager to lead construction projects from concept to completion. You will coordinate with clients, design teams, and vendors to ensure schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.

The role requires a BS in Engineering/Construction Management or Business Administration, 3–10 years’ experience, and proficiency with MS Office and MS Project. Local travel to Dallas sites is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration is required.
• 3–10 years of construction management or engineering design experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project is expected.

Responsibilities

S&B Services is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager who is passionate about the construction process to join our team in Dallas.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget
• Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
• Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports
• Local travel to project sites within the Dallas is required

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration
• 3-10 years' of construction management or engineering design experience
• Previous experience leading municipality and utility projects is preferred
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
