Job Title: Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Location: Orange, CA

This is an opportunity to lead complex, high-visibility construction projects for a nationally recognized general contractor with a long-standing presence across California. You'll drive full project delivery—from precon through close-out—while ensuring financial performance, schedule integrity, and site safety. Join a team that values collaboration, precision, and strong leadership on the ground.

Bonus if you have experience in DSA-regulated construction and/or judicial builds but not required.

This is a full time, permanent position, working on a judicial job site in Orange, with tons of other work coming up so a lot of continued opportunity for more growth and advancement.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects with a focus on quality and profitability
• Oversee contract administration, procurement, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedule tracking
• Lead subcontractor coordination and ensure timely execution of fieldwork
• Conduct cost forecasting, budget reviews, and labor analysis
• Collaborate on pre-construction planning and participate in key bid and client meetings
• Enforce strict safety protocols aligned with Zero Harm principles
• Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams

Must-Have Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience, including 5+ years in a Project Manager role
• Hands-on experience managing subcontractors and job site operations
• Proficient with construction management software (JD Edwards, P6, Constructware, Timberline)
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage project budgets and reporting

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) projects
• Design-build experience
• Background in justice/judicial facilities construction (courthouses, detention, civic buildings)
• Experience leading large-scale, ground-up builds
• Local candidates in Orange County strongly preferred
