Job summary

Ascendion is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead complex projects from preconstruction through closeout in a dynamic team environment. You will oversee schedules, budgets, subcontractors, procurement, and overall execution while building durable relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.

This role demands strong leadership and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience serving as a Project Manager with independent project ownership.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • Experience with Ground-Up and/or Tenant Improvement (TI) projects.
  • Proven success managing projects valued at $5M+.
  • Experience delivering projects in the $10M–$20M range is highly preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project completion.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, procurement, and overall project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Coordinate project teams to ensure quality, safety, and schedule objectives are achieved.
  • Identify and proactively resolve project risks and challenges.

Current Project

You'll initially lead a major Tenant Improvement project featuring:

  • Approximately 100,000 square feet
  • Three-story commercial build-out
  • Approximately 10-month project duration

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience serving as a Project Manager with independent project ownership.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • Experience with Ground-Up and/or Tenant Improvement (TI) projects.
  • Proven success managing projects valued at $5M+.
  • Experience delivering projects in the $10M–$20M range is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while driving project performance.
  • Experience with established commercial general contractors is highly desirable.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 – $150,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
