Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the Western Suburbs to oversee commercial carpentry and millwork projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will be the main contact for clients, unions, subcontractors, and crews, ensuring schedules and budgets are on track while upholding quality standards.

The role requires strong communication skills, a track record of managing multiple projects, and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, scheduling software, and budgeting.
• Excellent communication skills with clients, crews, and ownership.
• Commitment to safety and quality; experience with union labor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations across multiple active job sites.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement timelines.
• Coordinate with union carpenters, millwork foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Lead client communication with a solutions-oriented, transparent approach.
• Review drawings, submittals, and RFIs; manage change orders.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable codes.
• Track project financials and provide regular reporting to ownership.
