Job summary

Michael Page is assisting a long-standing Minnesota General Contractor in hiring a Project Manager for municipal and public-sector construction. You will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors and officials to deliver complex works on time and within budget.

We require 5+ years of PM experience with a General Contractor, and a solid grasp of public bidding, contract administration, and project controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.
• Experience delivering municipal or public-sector construction projects.
• Strong understanding of public bidding procedures, contract administration, and project financial management.
• Experience working with municipalities, park districts, government agencies, or other public owners.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple municipal construction projects from preconstruction through project completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractor buyout, and procurement activities.
• Coordinate with municipal owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and public officials throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contract administration, and project documentation.
• Monitor project financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Partner with field leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with public-sector clients to support repeat business opportunities.

Due to continued growth in their municipal division, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead public construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Description

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
