Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or related field.
Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer in commercial construction.
Experience managing diverse projects across healthcare, education, corporate, industrial, or hospitality sectors.
Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
Experience managing subcontractors, client relationships, and project financials.
Knowledge of construction means, methods, building systems, and documents.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Manage commercial construction projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
Lead project planning, execution, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and closeout activities.
Drive project performance to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
Oversee project financials, including cost control, change management, contract administration, and forecasting.
Coordinate internal project teams and provide leadership to Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and field staff.
Review drawings, specifications, contract documents, and project requirements.
Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
Identify and manage project risks while proactively developing solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor project schedules and drive milestone achievement.
Support business development by fostering client relationships and contributing to repeat opportunities.

Job Description

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications and experience

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field preferred
Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, Project Manager, or Senior Project Engineer within commercial construction
Experience managing diverse projects across sectors such as healthcare, education, corporate, industrial, mixed-use, hospitality, multifamily, public sector, or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable
Strong understanding of project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration
Experience managing subcontractors, client relationships, and project financial performance
Knowledge of construction means and methods, building systems, and construction documents
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction
Proficiency with construction management software and project management tools
