Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead municipal and public-sector construction projects in Minnesota from preconstruction through closeout.

The role demands 5+ years of PM experience with a General Contractor, strong knowledge of bidding, contract management, and project finance, and excellent communication and leadership skills. Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.
• Proven experience delivering municipal or other public-sector construction projects.
• Strong understanding of public bidding procedures, contract administration, and project financial management.
• Experience working with municipalities, park districts, government agencies, or other public owners.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple municipal construction projects from preconstruction through project completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractor buyout, and procurement activities.
• Coordinate with municipal owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and public officials throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contract administration, and project documentation.
• Monitor project financial performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Partner with field leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with public-sector clients to support repeat business opportunities.
